Description

This is the ability to psychically render oneself inaccessible to physical contact.

Uses/Applications (Pros)

One with this ability can psychically shift their body out of phase with other matter, thus passing through it, at will. In addition, one can psychically phase oneself past bindings, obstacles or confinement, at will. Furthermore, one can psychically phase oneself through incoming projectiles, to avoid impacts, at will. One can also psychically phase through incoming strikes, to avoid harm in combat, at will. One can even psychically phase specific parts of the body, at will (ie leaving the back of the body in-phase, to propel oneself on high winds).

Weaknesses/Limitations (Cons)

If the Intangible cannot control their phasing, some have been known to be unable to keep clothing on their bodies. Others have been known to phase through their food for prolonged periods, threatening accidental starvation.

Some could even manifest a form of intangibility so dynamic that they cannot even stay standing upright on solid ground. These would either end up re-solidifying at some inopportune position mid-phase (ie between floors of a building, a layer of the earth), or may even remain intangible until they reach the center of the planet they occupy. Rare though it is, it is not entirely impossible for an unfortunate Intangible to drop through to the planet's core and die a flaming, intangible, gravity-devastated death on manifestation.
