Description[]
This is the ability to psychically induce environmental factors which indicate the different seasons.
Uses/Applications (Pros)[]
One with this ability can invoke weather patterns typical to winter, spring, summer and/or autumn/fall, at will. In addition, one can call forth weather patterns typical to ‘wet season', ‘dry season’ or the like, at will. Furthermore, inducing a certain season automatically affects nearby plants and animals accordingly (ex: animals hibernate in winter, plants bloom in spring, fruits ripen in summer and trees lose leaves in autumn/fall). One can also control, to some extent, the size, shape and radius of the season being called forth. One can even, in some cases, call forth multiple seasons at one time, in separate spaces.
Weaknesses/Limitations (Cons)[]
The environmental factors that indicate different seasons will vary, depending on which part of the world one occupies. Primarily, a Season Manipulator can only call forth available elemental factors to produce the desired season, unless the power has some magical aspect to it. As such, the Season Manipulator would have a very different effect inducing winter in Florida, than they would inducing winter in Minnesota.
Furthermore, this ability does not allow mixed manipulation of weather patterns and environmental factors. The user could not, for example, induce a heat wave in winter or a blizzard in summer. If they manipulate the weather, it can only be a weather pattern possible within that season. Furthermore, certain more common weather patterns are only possible in the way they would naturally occur during that season (for example, the user could call forth rain, but the air would be cold, not muggy like a spring or summer day; likewise, the user could induce a sunny day, but the air and wind temperature would still be cold).
Perhaps the biggest limit, however, is that some users can only control the weather of the current season (and cannot change environmental factors to indicate different seasons, at all).
